The Santa Barbara Radio Control Modelers (SBRCM) is a group dedicated to the enjoyment of building and flying most types of radio-controlled aircraft. Our current field is located at Elings Park in Santa Barbara. At this location we fly only electric powered aircraft due to space and noise limitations.
Everyone is welcome to come out and watch. If you are interested, the best time to find a group of pilots is on Tues, Thurs, and Saturdays at between 7 and 9 AM or in the evenings after 5PM.
In addition to mandatory AMA membership, SBRCM dues for new members are $25.00 a year. Presently we are not assessing a one-time field charge. Elings Park are assessed an annual fee to utilize their area.
Club meeting are held at 6:30 PM on the first Thursday of even numbered months at 45 Hartley Place, Goleta, Ca. adjacent to the Santa Barbara airport. Visitors are welcome.
We offer free flight instruction and can arrange for any interested parties an introductory lesson using our equipment and aircraft. Contact the club via email to arrange the details.
